MONARCH BAY GOLF CLUB

The Monarch Bay Golf Club is located at the San Leandro Shoreline Recreation Area.

It is a place where phones don't ring, traffic is no bother and deadlines seem unimportant. Set on the coast of the San Francisco Bay, this scenic Scottish links-style course offers sanctuary from the outside world.

Monarch Bay Golf Club features two spectacular courses - the 18-hole Tony Lema Golf Course and the Marina 9-hole course. Redesigned by John Harbottle, both courses have undergone a $9 million dollar renovation. In addition to the renovation, all fairways were replaced with a new salt-tolerant grass called paspalum which produces great playing conditions.

As you negotiate the natural grasses and protected wetland areas of this exquisite layout, you'll understand why Monarch Bay is considered one of the areas most beautiful and satisfying golf experiences.

The Monarch Bay Golf Club is managed by American Golf Corporation, the largest golf management company in the world. The Club also features a double deck practice range with heaters, windscreens, and a music system. The landing area has synthetic turf with target greens. The Wedges Grill and Bar offers banquet facilities.

Tony Lema 18-Hole Course

The Tony Lema Course is a par 71 course; measuring 7,015 yards in length (the second longest par 71 in California), with a course rating of 74 from the Professional Tees. It has views of the San Francisco Bay from every hole.

Marina 9-Hole Course

The Marina Course is a par 30 course; measuring 1,734 yards in length. The large greens are well guarded by bunkers and tree-lined fairways.
