Thanksgiving Break Book to Movie Parties at the Main Library

Join us for family movies in our Lecture Hall, followed by a craft based on the book/movie. Movies start at 12:30pm, and the craft session will follow at 2:30pm. Movie seating is first-come, first-served (the Lecture Hall has 200 seats!), and doors will open at 12:20pm.

Paws to Read for kids in grades 1 to 5

Would you like to read a book to a friendly dog? In Paws to Read, children in grades 1 to 5 can work on their reading skills while reading to a certified therapy dogs. Registration opens on October 24, and the November session dates are Nov. 7, 14 & 28 at 3:30pm, 4:05pm or 4:35pm. Call 577-3960 to reserve your spot as space is limited.

The Human Services Commission (HSC) identifies social needs in the community and recommends to the City Council possible ways to meet those needs, evaluates and encourages the provision of social services in the City, assists social services agencies with fundraising, and reviews requests for City financial support to social service agencies. The HSC has nine members who serve four-year terms. The HSC meets the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Sister Cities Gallery at City Hall.

1:30 PMFREE - Needle Crafters Meetups

If you would like to learn a needle craft (such as knitting, crocheting, cross stitching or embroidering), or if you are currently working on a needle craft project, then come join the Library's Needle Crafters, led by library volunteers.

The Needle Crafters, who meet year-round, are a fun, informal group that meet and make new friends at the Library while discussing interesting topics such as books, travel and movies.

The Needle Crafters usually meet in the Conference Room C, however, check the meeting room computer monitor in the Lobby for any changes.
