Information on San Leandro Minimum Wage Requirements

November 30, 2016 

On September 6, 2016, the City Council adopted an ordinance that accelerates implementation of the statewide minimum wage requirements. That ordinance goes into effect on July 1, 2017. For more information, please visit: www.sanleandro.org/minimumwage

Just the right pace for you and your totally nonstop toddler up to age 3, we’ll enjoy stories, songs and active rhymes, followed by a play time. We offer duplicate sessions at 9:30am and 10:30am, so please choose just one to attend. This storytime takes place in the ESTUDILLO ROOM of the Main Library.

1:30 PMPreschool Storytime (Main Library)

PRESCHOOL STORYTIME: Stories, songs and play for preschoolers (and up)

Designed for children ages 3-6, our preschool storytime features longer picture books, plus plenty of flannel boards, puppets and songs. We explore a different theme each week with books and crafts to help with emerging literacy and fine motor skills, followed by a play time.

This program takes place in the ESTUDILLO ROOM at the Main Library.


2:30 PMDub Club

Teens in grades 6-12, join us at the Main Library every Wednesday that school is in session for Dub Club!

Dub Club is from 2:30-4:30 pm and is a place where you can hang with your friends, have a snack, and play video games! Free event, new teens must sign our behavior guidelines to attend.

7:00 PMHuman Services Commission
The Human Services Commission (HSC) identifies social needs in the community and recommends to the City Council possible ways to meet those needs, evaluates and encourages the provision of social services in the City, assists social services agencies with fundraising, and reviews requests for City financial support to social service agencies. The HSC has nine members who serve four-year terms. The HSC meets the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Sister Cities Gallery at City Hall.
7:00 PMFamily Fun Night: Activated Storytellers (Main Library)

Act!vated Story Theater Activates The Gingerbread Man at this FREE Family Fun NIght!

Act!vated Storytellers don't just tell stories, they act!vate them with physical comedy, audience participation, American Sign Language and imaginative props. Enjoy this live theater show of two classic tales: The Gingerbread Man, and The Tortoise and the Hare.

All ages welcome, and refreshments will be served after the show. This program will be held in the Karp/Estudillo rooms at the Main Library. Doors open at 6:50pm. Questions? Please call 577-3960.

Featuring the best in children's books, songs and activities. For children ages 2-5 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

Pokémon Trading Card Club! ▪ for ages 5 and up ▪ 1st and 3rd Mondays of the Month ▪ 6:30pm-7:30pm

If you are interested in playing Pokémon cards with friends, this club is for you! Hang out with friends, and battle each other with your card decks. If you have your own cards, please bring them. If you don’t have your own cards, you can borrow a starter deck.
