Music by the Bay Outdoor Concert on Thurs. Sept. 28 at Marina Park

September 21, 2017 

Lost Dog Found, a swing and jazz ensemble featuring Rachel Sierra, will perform at Marina Park for an outdoor concert. DJ Panda will kick off the event at 5:30 pm and Lost Dog Found will perform from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnics and a blanket to enjoy the performance. Please note: alcohol is not permitted in City parks.

Neighborhood Cleanup Day

August 18, 2017 

Mark your calendars for San Leandro’s annual Neighborhood Cleanup Day on Saturday, October 7, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Residents are invited to participate in the Citywide Garage sale from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. The City will publish a map and listing of participating addresses in the October 5 edition of the San Leandro Times (registration by September 27, 2017 is required).

Baby Time: Rhymes, songs and books for ages 0 to 12 months

*space is limited to 15 families
Enjoy focused time with your baby (pre-walkers ages 0 to 12 months) during this short session. We’ll sing songs in English and Spanish, learn easy movement activities, and explore board books, followed by time to play/bond with your baby and talk with other parents and caregivers. If you have a baby and a toddler/preschooler, please attend our toddler storytime or preschool storytime instead.

Paws to Read for kids in grades 1 to 5

Would you like to read a book to a friendly dog? In Paws to Read, children in grades 1 to 5 can work on their reading skills while reading to a certified therapy dog. Registration opens on August 29, and the session dates are Sept. 12, Sept. 19 & Sept. 26 at 3:30pm, 4:05pm or 4:35pm. Call 577-3960 to reserve your spot as space is limited.

We offer duplicate sessions at 9:30am and 10:30am, so please choose just one to attend. This storytime takes place in the ESTUDILLO ROOM of the Main Library.

Designed for children ages 3-6, our preschool storytime features longer picture books, plus plenty of flannel boards, puppets and songs. We explore a different theme each week with books and crafts to help with emerging literacy and fine motor skills, followed by a play time.

This program takes place in the ESTUDILLO ROOM at the Main Library.


2:30 PMDub Club

Teens! Are you looking for something fun to do after school on Wednesdays? Join Dub Club at the Main Library from 2:30-4:30 pm in the Karp room. There will be snacks, games, and more! This program is for teens in grades 6-12.

6:00 PMPublic Meeting - San Leandro Blvd. Road Diet

The City of San Leandro will host a meeting to review the proposed plan for new striping on San Leandro Boulevard (from the northern city limit to San Leandro Creek). This proposed road diet will provide a two lane road with a double left turn lane, bike lanes, and parking lanes.
