Citywide Garage Sale & Spring Cleaning Event

April 24, 2018 

Mark your calendars for San Leandro’s annual Neighborhood Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 19! Host a Garage Sale at your house in the morning. The City will advertise participating households in the San Leandro Times (registration by May 9, 2018 is required). Later, drop-off items to be recycled at a local facility.

Draft Bicycle & Pedestrian Master Plan Now Available

December 11, 2017 

The draft Bicycle & Pedestrian Master Plan is now available. This document is designed to guide the development of facilities to enhance bicycling and walking as safe, enjoyable, and practical transportation choices for the San Leandro community. New Open Data Sets Available!

The City has just released open data sets and online maps for its Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) and “SL-WiFiber” free Wi-Fi locations. You can access these interactive maps at: www.geosl.org.

TODDLER STORYTIME: Stories, rhymes and romps for ages 1-3

Just the right pace for you and your totally nonstop toddler up to age 3, we’ll enjoy stories, songs and active rhymes, followed by a play time. We offer duplicate sessions at 9:30am and 10:30am, so please choose just one to attend. This storytime takes place in the ESTUDILLO ROOM of the Main Library.

1:30 PMPreschool Storytime (Main Library)

PRESCHOOL STORYTIME: Stories, songs and play for preschoolers (and up)

Designed for children ages 3-6, our preschool storytime features longer picture books, plus plenty of flannel boards, puppets and songs. We explore a different theme each week with books and crafts to help with emerging literacy and fine motor skills, followed by a play time.

This program takes place in the ESTUDILLO ROOM at the Main Library.

2:30 PMDub Club

Teens! Are you looking for something fun to do after school on Wednesdays? Join Dub Club at the Main Library from 2:30-4:30 pm in the Karp room. There will be snacks, games, and more! This program is for teens in grades 6-12.

7:00 PMHuman Services Commission
The Human Services Commission (HSC) identifies social needs in the community and recommends to the City Council possible ways to meet those needs, evaluates and encourages the provision of social services in the City, assists social services agencies with fundraising, and reviews requests for City financial support to social service agencies. The HSC has nine members who serve four-year terms. The HSC meets the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Sister Cities Gallery at City Hall.
7:00 PMFamily Fun Night: Activated Storytellers (Main Library)

Activated Storytellers don't just tell stories, they act!vate them with physical comedy, audience participation, American Sign Language and imaginative props. Enjoy this live theater show of the classic tale The Three Little Pigs and the trickster tale of Anansi and the Story Box. All ages welcome. Refreshments served after the show. Questions? Call 577-3960.

This Family Fun Night will be held in the Estudillo/Karp rooms. Doors open at 6:50pm.

· 4:30-4:40– Show and Tell

· 4:40-4:45—Clean Up Time

You don’t have to stay for the whole time, but be sure to clean up before you leave. Thanks!

For their safety, children under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult at library activities

Este club de lectura se reúne el ultimo Sábado del mes a las 12 pm.

Nuevos miembros siempre bienvenidos. Puedes comprar una copia del libro si lo necesitas por tan solo $10 en la Booktique, la librería dentro de la biblioteca principal. El libro también esta disponible en formato electrónico (eBook) y puedes descargarlo en la pagina de la biblioteca.
