FIRE EXTINGUISHER TRAINING

Alameda County Fire Department will provide businesses or organized community groups with the training necessary to safely operate a fire extinguisher.  This training is designed to give an overview of the basic types of fire, safety procedures and how to operate a fire extinguisher.  The program is designed for the classroom and does not include demonstrations with live fire.

The Fire Department has developed a “self-taught” program for fire extinguisher training.  A group or business can get extinguisher hand outs and borrow a video from our community education division.  Videos can be checked out for a maximum of 4 days.

2.      Please provide us with a minimum of 30 days advance notice.  In order to accommodate possible schedule conflicts, several alternative dates should be supplied.
