The Alameda County Fire Department is dedicated to providing the highest level of service possible to the communities it serves. The fire department currently provides a wide variety of services to an ever expanding and diverse population. These services include fire suppression, hazardous materials mitigation, paramedic services, urban search and rescue, fire prevention and public education. We continually strive for ways to better improve our delivery of service and meet the specialized needs of every community. One of our biggest priorities is the prevention of fires, accidents and injuries before they occur. This is accomplished through fire prevention, building code enforcement and public education. This guide is designed to be a quick reference as to what community education programs are currently offered by the Alameda County Fire Department. The information contained in this guide will help you, as a citizen, determine what program will best suit your needs. If you cannot find a particular safety education program or if you have specialized requirements, most programs can be modified to meet your needs. The Alameda County Fire Department is committed to the safety and education of the communities it serves. Our goal is to provide every citizen within our district the highest level of life safety awareness training available. We will continually work to spread the message of fire prevention, safety awareness and public education to all members of the community. Certain program dates and times may be limited due to scheduling or instructor availability. Alameda County Fire Department offers a wide variety of community education programs. These programs are designed to prevent injury and or property loss through increased education and public safety awareness. Community education programs may be modified to meet the needs of the intended audience.
