The Alameda County Fire Department is dedicated to providing the highest level of service possible to the communities it serves. The fire department currently provides a wide variety of services to an ever expanding and diverse population. These services include fire suppression, hazardous materials mitigation, paramedic services, urban search and rescue, fire prevention and public education. We continually strive for ways to better improve our delivery of service and meet the specialized needs of every community. One of our biggest priorities is the prevention of fires, accidents and injuries before they occur. This is accomplished through fire prevention, building code enforcement and public education.

This guide is designed to be a quick reference as to what community education programs are currently offered by the Alameda County Fire Department. The information contained in this guide will help you, as a citizen, determine what program will best suit your needs. If you cannot find a particular safety education program or if you have specialized requirements, most programs can be modified to meet your needs.
