San Leandro Creek Toxic Algae Update

Sampling results to date identify this level of toxin as ‘low risk’. The World Health Organization advises that up 20 parts per billion (ppb) is considered low risk. Samples taken yesterday registered at 8 ppb and >10 ppb. 

EBRPD and East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) staff are coordinating with Alameda County Public Health to address this situation.
