Have you been to the annual Sausage & Suds Music Festival? If not, check out this terrific FREE event on Sunday, October 3rd from 10 am - 6pm on Parrott Street between Washington Avenue and East 14th Street. Sausage & Suds originated in 1997 when San Leandro was designated the "Sausage Capital of California" by the California State Legislature. The celebration features lots of sausage, beer and wine and is geared toward families, with a kid's GREEN ZONE featuring fun outdoor games.
Sponsored by the San Leandro Downtown Association, this event is intended to promote FUN in Downtown, allowing an opportunity for neighbors and friends to gather for the afternoon. Within walking distance from BART and with bicycle parking available right on Parrott Street, alternative modes of transportation are encouraged.
The 2010 music schedule includes Stereo Freakout (www.stereofreakout.com), 12:30 - 1:20pm; Spazmatics (www.myspace.com/thespazmaticslive) (back by POPULAR DEMAND!) 1:45 - 2:45pm; Delta Wires (www.deltawires.com) 3:15 - 4:15pm; Lydia Pense and Cold Blood (www.coldblood.biz) 4:45 - 6pm.
