THRASHER PARK |
|
|
Thrasher Park, located at the intersection of Davis Street and Orchard Avenue, is the City's oldest park. Renovated in 1992, this community park has several unique features, including a lighted regulation softball field, a skateboard park, and a historical railway society building (visit www.slhrs.org). In addition, the picnic areas, playground, and green space provide for neighborhood recreation needs. There are six barbecue pits, six picnic tables, a tot lot and restrooms. Picnic areas at this park are available for reservation from April 1 through October 31. Insurance is required for parties of 100 people and above. Picnic area reservations can be submitted to the Recreation and Human Services Department, located at the City Hall South Offices (835 E. 14th Street), or at the Marina Community Center, located at 15301 Wicks Boulevard. For more information, call (510) 577-3462. |
