VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS

Do you have some free time? Would you like to give something back to your community? There are many opportunities to share your skills, talent and enthusiasm. You can be a Project Literacy Tutor to help adults who want to improve reading and writing skills; be a docent at the historical Casa Peralta house and museum; staff the City Hall Information Kiosk or assist with our many Senior Programs. We can also suggest non-profit organizations in San Leandro that need help. There are a variety of youth volunteer opportunities at the Library and a great summer Counselor-in-Training Program through the Recreation and Human Services Department. To find out more, check out the volunteer opportunities listed in the Recreation and Human Services Department Activity Guide or call 577-3462.
